Privacy policy

How WorldPing handles data when you read the site. Reading WorldPing does not require an account.

What we collect

Anonymous visit counts. We record that a page view happened so we can see how busy the site is. We do not build reader profiles.
Standard technical data. Our hosting handles ordinary web request data needed to serve pages and keep the site secure.
Sign-in data for staff only. The private admin area uses Google sign-in. No reader account exists or is required.

What we do not do

We do not sell reader data.
We do not ask readers to register or hand over an email address to read a brief.
We do not run cross-site advertising trackers at this time.

Third parties

Article images are served from the original publishers' own domains, so those publishers may see the request for the image. Links out of WorldPing take you to the publisher's site, where their own privacy policy applies. Our Telegram channel is subject to Telegram's privacy policy. If display advertising is introduced in future, this page will be updated before it runs.

Your choices

You can browse without an account, and you can ask us what data relates to you or ask for its deletion through our contact page.
