Corrections policy
WorldPing publishes fast, which means mistakes are possible. When one happens we fix it openly rather than quietly.
Reporting an error
Tell us through the channels on our contact page. Include the page URL and what specifically is wrong. Requests that identify a factual error are treated as urgent.
How we handle it
- We check the claim against the original publisher's current article.
- If the original report has been corrected, our brief is updated to match and the update time on the page changes.
- If our summary misrepresented an accurate report, we rewrite the brief and note the correction on the page.
- If a story is retracted by its publisher, our brief is removed from the site and from every section page, hub and sitemap.
- Where a brief was pushed to Telegram, a correction is posted to the channel too.
Take-down requests
Publishers who do not want their reporting summarised here can ask us to remove it and we will, without argument. Individuals who believe a brief contains inaccurate information about them can use the same route.
