Editorial policy

Source selection

We monitor established newsrooms, wire services and official publishers with a public record of accountable reporting. A source can be dropped at any time if its reporting proves unreliable, and low-signal feeds are capped so a single publisher cannot flood the wire.

How briefs are written

• Briefs contain only what the original report states. We do not add unreported detail.
• Numbers, names and dates are carried over exactly as reported.
• Context sections are clearly framed as context, not as new reporting.
• Where a story is contested or unconfirmed, the brief says so in the source's own terms.
• Headlines describe the story. We do not use withheld-information clickbait.

Attribution

Every brief names the newsroom that reported the story, on the card, in the page byline area and in the sources block, and links directly to the original article. Copyright in the original reporting remains with that publisher. If a publisher asks us to stop summarising their material, we remove it.

What we do not publish

• Unsourced rumour, leaked-account speculation or anonymous social posts as fact.
• Routine filler such as fixture previews, odds, fantasy tips and rumour columns.
• Paid placements presented as news. We do not accept payment for coverage.
• AI-fabricated quotes, statistics or events. Briefs are derived from real reporting only.
